Pachi Clemente Vicario
Qualified in Veterinary Science at the Cáceres Faculty, of the University of Extremadura, in 1993.
From February 1993 until April 1997 he worked in the Cruz Cubierta Veterinary Hospital in Valencia, in consultancy (surgery and internal medicine) and in the casualty department.
Between July 1997 and April 2002 he worked in the Artes Gráficas Veterinary Clinic in Valencia, and since April 2002 he has worked in the La Merced Veterinary Clinic in Calpe, in Alicante province.
He is an associate professor of the Department of Animal Medicine and Surgery at the Cardenal Herrera-Ceu University, Valencia (2003-), and is in charge of the Oncology Service in the University’s Veterinary Hospital. He also worked with the Marina Alta Veterinary Hospital, in charge of the Oncology and Chemotherapy Service (July 2002-January 2004).
Since 1996, Pachi has concentrated his studies in the area of Clinical Oncology, regularly attending courses and seminars both in Spain and abroad, and spent four weeks in the Oncology/Hematology Service of the Veterinary Hospital of Ohio State University in March 2006 2006. At present he is working on his doctoral thesis on canine lymphoma, directed by Ohio State University.
Pachi has given papers on Oncology at national AVEPA conferences (Barcelona 2001, Seville 2003), FAVAC Congress (Seville 2002) and the AMVAC Congress (Madrid 2004, 2006). Has given lectures and seminars on Oncology at the Cardenal Herrera-CEU University, Valencia, in the last 6 years (Clinical Oncology, 2001, 2002; Feline Oncology, 2003; Oncological emergencies 2004; Surgical Oncology, 2005 and 2006).

He has also lectured on casualty work and intensive care in the AVEPA work-groups conferences (Madrid 2002, Zaragoza 2003, Barcelona 2004) and in the training days for veterinary nurses in the AMVAC conference (Madrid 2003).
He is the author of two chapters in “Manual de técnicas útiles en Medicina de Urgencias” (Manual of Useful Techniques in Casualty Medicine), published by Intermédica in 2006. He has published “Manejo de las urgencias del aparato reproductor” (How to handle Emergencies in the Reproductive Apparatus) in the Consulta veterinary journal (nº 97, February 2003) and the following articles in AVEPA’s official journal: “Lipoma intermuscular en el muslo del perro: dos casos clínicos” ( Intermuscular Lipoma in the Dog’s Thigh) (Volume 22, number 2, 2002) and “Mandibulectomía parcial asociada a transplante autólogo de cúbito como tratamiento de un tumor de células escamosas” (Partial Mandibulectomy associated with Autologous Cubitus Transplant as a treatment for a Squamous Cell Tumour) (Volume 24, number 1, 2004)
Member of AVEPA, Veterinary Cancer Society and the European Society of Veterinary Oncology.
